Hume & When the Snow Came Out of Nowhere

April 21, 2012  •  Leave a Comment

I spent last weekend in the beautiful Hume lake. It was snowing, cold & beautiful.

Youth for Christ held a camp at Hume Lake for teen moms and their children. It was beautiful chaos with all those little rugrats {including my own} running around.

The kids loved the snow, almost as much as the mommies did. I got to lead the night hike. I had this elaborate plan of hiding a lantern & hiking to Inspiration Point & turning it into a learning lesson of how we have to search for God, but that's before I knew it was going to snow. As far as I knew, there wouldn't be a foot of snow on top of all of the trails. But it still worked out & we still had fun. It consisted of snow up to our calves, a snowball fight, & losing a camera in the {12 inches} of snow.

It's amazing to see how hard these girls work to be the best mommies they can for their little {and big!} babies.
